RESEARCH INTERESTS
The main research topic is heterogeneous catalysis applied to the synthesis of fine chemicals and to renewable materials selective transformations. Research activity has been mainly focused on the study of heterogeneous non-toxic and non-noble catalysts as substitutes of traditional stoichiometric reagents for organic synthesis and on the development of solid catalysts for the upgrading of renewable sources, such as vegetable oils, cellulose and terpenes. She is particularly involved in the development of the Biorefinery concept from both dedicated non-food crops and agroindustry wastes. Her scientific activity is summed up in more than 130 scientific papers and 7 patents.
